History:

Founded in 1992 by Sigi Kluger DL1MEN (later DK4NB) to sell his hamradio- packet-terminal SP and closed in autum 1995 after Sigi's heartattack ESKAY is still one of the most known companys in digital hamradio. SP is still used in at least 10 countries worldwide even after Sigi stopped programming it.

However it was the SP-users psychoterrorism against Sigi causing his heartattack in october 1995 and finally causing his suicide in August 1996 not even 6 weeks before his 42th birthday. This can't be forgotten !

Originally my own company HGV was the supportpart of ESKAY which could not even be to much official for a long time about the continous terrorism of certain hams related with the SP-production also and proceeding internal fights to serve their jealousy, aswell as about hams who found out that 2 hams of one company QRV in hamradio have to do commercial business even in case one of them just answeres the mail of a SP-public domain-version-user. In all these fights they could not kill our friendship and work together, but finally their psychoterrorism killed Sigi himself.

To make Sigi's name and work immortal to the world I've closed HGV on the 16th of November 1996 and reopend it as the new ESKAY Soft- and Hardware. Since ESKAY means the english pronounciation of Sigi's initials SK (Sigi Kluger) it is strongly refering to Sigi's personality. The act of reopening ESKAY got carefully arranged asking Sigi's familly for their OK to it. Also if I work it to grow up this company it will be the base for a foundation to care on the things Sigi left here for me to do.

Since 9. Dec 1996 ESKAY is a registred trademark to my company M. Schega Soft- and Hardware. Refering the fact hamradio caused my friend Sigi's pass the new ESKAY is nomore related to hamradio. It is related to PC-stuff, communication and webdesign. Sigi's favourite programming language C is still performed here. I'm just learning it myself.

To explain finally why I didn't write the truth on Sigi's pass, we did hide it until his familly is moved to a place noone finds them, so they can exist in peace now with no hams calling anymore. The message today is written to fullfill Sigi's will he wrote in a letter to me on November 20, 1995. I hope like Sigi this makes some packeteers thing about what they do to others.
