Glenna went into the hospital twice on September 2, 2000. First time, we were sent home after an hour or two, because the contractions had stopped. So, we went out to celebrate our anniversary, and had a great dinner. After we got home, we went to bed, only to have Glenna start contractions again.
This is around 11:30pm. Glenna is tired, having been up since 5:30 that morning. The machine that goes ping is just to the right of the bed. The fetus frightening machine was used earlier, in order to ensure that the child was born in the right frame of mind.
After a bit of painkiller, she felt much better, and was able to rest between contractions. Unfortunately, that's all she could do - the contractions were frequent. Around 2:00am, she got an Intrathecal anesthetic, and Life Was Good after that - she was actually able to sleep during the contractions. She started feeling very ready about 3:00am, and Nakea was born at 03:15:15AM.
She was very happy to have given birth - a look of relief as well.

And here we are, together in the hospital!
It was a hard trip - but home at last.
